There is $118 trillion of wealth in the United States alone, or about $375,000 per American. For every homeless person in the country, there are 28 empty homes waiting for them right now. The question of whether to go sockless is a debate that runs back and fourth every summer, even amongst the most stylish men. Some see going sockless as a quick way to revitalize everything from a trim suit to short khakis, while others think of it as the depth of bad taste—everyone has a different take.
There are of course practical ways to pulling it off. Walking around for hours on a hot summer day without socks, sweating into nice leather shoes is not very comfortable. Besides talcum powder, you can also consider loafer socks—they’re cut so low they’re practically invisible.
