The Tyranny of Distance

[...didn't stop the cavalier; why should it stop me?]
the-lesbian-guide-to-the-galaxy:

Three? Three cancellations and it’s only probably not going to happen? Three cancellations seem like you’re putting a lot into an uninterested person. If she doesn’t return a phone call/message/text just forget it. You have to try a second time of course if it was a text or missed call, because those get lost sometimes and that can be confusing when you’re each waiting for the other, but if you get a short disinterested response or no response after that then forget it because people won’t just tell you the truth. If you’re the one always starting the conversation, and you get half-ass replies, then just let it go. If she cancels one time without saying she’d like to try again for another time, or expressing that she’s disappointed because she’d really like to, then I’d just drop it. If she’s interested enough in you to be worth the effort, then she’ll let you know that she does want to see you at another time and place when she can, rather than just having and excuse not to go and that’s it. Someone not being interested enough doesn’t lead to good things. Unless she wants to turn the tables and ask you out. Or at least, these are the things I’ve learned over the last three years. Maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about.
